Summary:
The Travel Advisor is responsible for helping individuals and businesses plan work and personal travel.
As a Travel Advisor Administrative Assistant, you will be helping the Travel Advisor's achieve this.
Your duties may include advising clients on travel destinations, creating itineraries and booking plane travel and hotel accommodations.
The most successful candidate will have experience with or be able to use networking and marketing to establish connections with clients, excel at multi-tasking and have excellent communication skills.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, itineraries and other documents.
Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
In addition, the Travel Advisor Administrative Assistant will assist senior Travel Advisors with the following:
Providing all relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events) to travelers Researching availability, fare and schedule information for clients Researching and providing travel options to clients based on pre-determined specifications Explaining the overview of travel destinations and choices.
Providing details to clients on any documents required, such as passports or visas.
Communicating with clients to confirm itinerary, receive and process payments, answer general questions and more.
Following up with clients about travel plans and make adjustments as needed Ensuring clients have everything they need before and during their trip Making alternative arrangements to clients itinerary Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proven problem-solving skills and research ability.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma required.
At least four years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must possess or be able to obtain a passport.
Schedule Must be available to work an assortment of hours between the following days and times:
Monday- Friday 8am and 6pm Saturdays 9am to 5pm

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
