Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of a CT Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patient's care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments.
Some common CT Technologist job duties and responsibilities include:
Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging Examining images to ensure they're usable Updating patient medical information Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
Qualifications:
Education:
Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
Certification/License:
Registered A.
R.
R.
T.
, MO License, current CPR skills, CT certification required.
Experience:
Min.
2 years experience in CT preferred.
Proficiency in IV contrast infusion techniques with certification in IV infusion.
Recommended Skills Cpr Imaging Radiology Phlebotomy X Ray Computed Tomography Intravenous (Iv) Fusions Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
