SUMMARY Sales Associates are responsible for providing customers with an exceptional buying experience and ensure our service, food and car wash standards are met, where applicable.
This position is expected to operate each shift efficiently, within company policies and provides quick and efficient customer service as well as the highest quality food in a friendly atmosphere.
The term Sales Associate applies to positions of first, second, third shift employees, full- or part-time and this position reports to the store manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY:
Business Results Orientation Account correctly for all cash income including but not limited to:
register fund, credit/debit cards, lottery/lotto, car wash sales, vacuum income, etc.
and record any cash variance in accordance with our cash handling policies Maintain a clean and visually appealing convenience store, including lot and bathrooms Ensure all vendors are checked in according to company policy and complete all transactions through register according to company policy Ensure store merchandise is properly stocked on shelves and in coolers Increasing food sales and monitor food waste through tracking food logs and following trends Adhere to all city, county and state health department regulations Work diligently to correct safety deficiencies in a timely manner Inform Supervisor or Manager of unsafe conditions and behaviors, and recommend how to correct or eliminate them Must follow food service protocol, including but not limited to temping and logging food per guidelines, food rotation protocols, following build to's and proper disposal of expired food Observe shift operating hours at all times and follow the work schedule as posted, unless a change is arranged with Supervisor Post hours worked on the computer accurately and sign all necessary documentation Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices Follow all company policies and procedures as defined in the Policy/Training Manual or other guidelines Perform other duties not listed as required Communication Assist supervisor in meeting daily, weekly and monthly reporting and information requirements.
Ensure all communications with customers, suppliers, vendors, co-workers, etc.
