Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals - Organize and maintain legal documents and files using document management systems - Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain client information - Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness - Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as contracts and briefs - Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence - File documents with the court or other relevant entities - Conduct legal research under the guidance of attorneys - Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, and manage deadlines - Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Experience:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is preferred - Proficient in using organizational and document management systems - Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills - Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong clerical and administrative skills - Professional phone etiquette Note:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
